Scientific Research

The HRC is a scientific research center who supports for professional researchers, students and professors from national and international universities & communities. We have been assisting to the field based study of PhD students and researchers from the different schools and universities in the High Mountain, Glacier, Glacial lake, permafrost, mountain environments and mountain people and workshop seminars in the Nepal.

In the past many international scholars are closely working with HRC in Nepal for their research work. We have very nice working experience with University of Texas at Austin, University of Colorado, University of Arizona, University of Leeds. The HRC management and staff are very familiar with glaciated environments, geology and natural resource management in the context of the Nepal Himalaya. In addition, the HRC team has been invaluable to our consultations with community members in the mountain region. HRC team is extremely capable of performing and providing support for the scientific studies conducted at high altitude and in remote locations. We have participated in several research projects that have collected extensive scientific data on the high mountain of the Nepal Himalaya.

Our team is knowledgeable about scientific equipment and its deployment in the field, including Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Sonar Bathymetric Surveys, Remote Weather Stations, Time Lapse Cameras, Total Station Land Surveying System, and Subsurface Temperature Sensor Arrays.
